Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 3, 2026
SnapSana is a blood pressure tracking application. This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and your choices. SnapSana does not require an account — there is no login, and we do not collect your name, email address, or other identity information to use the app.
1. Data You Create in the App
SnapSana collects only the data you explicitly provide or capture, and it stays on your device:
- Blood pressure readings — systolic, diastolic, and pulse values you log manually or via camera capture.
- Timestamps, notes, and tags — the date/time of each reading and any optional notes or tags you add.
- Photos — if you use the camera to capture a reading, the image may be saved locally on your device alongside the record.
This data is stored in a local database on your device. We have no access to it, we cannot see your readings, and it is never uploaded to our servers. If you delete the app, this data is permanently removed (unless you've enabled a device-level backup — see Section 5).
2. Camera Access
SnapSana requests access to your device camera solely to photograph your blood pressure monitor display for automatic reading extraction. Photos are processed on-device and are not transmitted externally. You can also use the app without camera access by entering readings manually.
3. Health Data — Apple Health & Google Health Connect
SnapSana can optionally write your blood pressure and heart rate readings to Apple Health (iOS) or Google Health Connect (Android). This sync is off by default and only activates if you turn it on in Settings. SnapSana only writes data to these platforms — it does not read or share data from other apps connected to Apple Health or Health Connect. Once written, that data is governed by Apple's or Google's own privacy policies and the permissions you've granted on your device.
4. Subscription & Purchase Data
SnapSana offers optional paid subscriptions, processed entirely through the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your payment card details — Apple and Google handle billing directly.
To manage entitlements (e.g. confirming an active subscription across your devices) and offer free trials, we use RevenueCat as a subscription management processor. RevenueCat receives:
- An anonymous, app-generated identifier (not your name or email)
- Purchase and transaction events (e.g. subscription started, renewed, or cancelled) from the App Store or Play Store
- Basic device and app metadata needed to validate a purchase (device type, OS version, app version)
RevenueCat does not receive your blood pressure readings, notes, or photos. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details on how they handle this data.
5. Product Analytics
We use PostHog to understand how the app is used in aggregate — for example, which screens are viewed, whether a feature is used, or where users drop off during onboarding or the trial flow. These events:
- Are tied to an anonymous, randomly generated device identifier — not your name, email, or account
- Never include your blood pressure readings, notes, photos, or any health data
- May include general device/app info (OS version, app version, country-level location derived from IP address)
We do not use advertising SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. See PostHog's privacy policy for details.
6. What We Don't Do
- We do not require an account or collect personally identifiable information to use the app.
- We do not sell your data to anyone.
- We do not use advertising SDKs or track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not upload your blood pressure readings, notes, or photos to our servers or any third party.
7. Data Storage, Backup & Security
Your readings live in a local database on your device. Depending on your device settings, your operating system's own backup service (iCloud Backup on iOS, Android Auto Backup on Android) may include this data so it can be restored if you set up a new device under the same account — this backup is managed entirely by Apple or Google, not by us.
8. Your Choices
Health sync (Apple Health / Health Connect) is opt-in and can be turned off at any time in Settings. To restore or manage a subscription, use the "Restore purchases" option in Settings or manage it directly through your App Store / Play Store account. Because our analytics and subscription-management data is anonymous and isn't tied to your name, email, or any other identifying information, we have no way to locate or delete a specific individual's data on request.
9. Children's Privacy
SnapSana is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
